Post Graduate from India Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and having a post graduate degree on Economics from Stanford University. Worked in 25 countries and participated in number of international policy discourses. Over 25 years of international professional experiences. Worked with number international, multilateral, bilateral and Government agencies and Universities, Center of Excellence in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe. Specialized in the field of sustainable agriculture, agribusiness and natural resources management and Biotechnology especially in complex, diverse and risk prone agro-ecosystems both with public and private sectors.

Started career with World Bank/ Consultative Group of International Agriculture Research agencies viz., International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines and International Potato research Centre (CIP) in Peru. Designed, managed large multi-country R&D projects with various NARS (National Agriculture Research Systems) and raised resources to execute various projects.
